Designed to weave throughout the entire 260 hectare estate, the course occupies a significant 77 hectares, or 29 percent of the entire development, creating a lush green milieu for the residents to appreciate.

And it’s not only the course that will be green at Mandalay with the provision of class A recycled water set to be delivered to the entire community in the coming years, ensuring green is the major theme as the community develops.

Already buyers of the estate have been quick to recognise the value of the generous home-sites overlooking the golf course, snapping them up almost as quickly as they are released to the market.

Nestled in the historic town of Beveridge, residents purchasing home-sites at Mandalay will also be treated to rolling green hills and gum-leaf surrounds as part of the picturesque backyard vista.

Mandalay golf course project architect, Justin Trott, hails the project’s eco-friendly elements and revegetation.

“ The course will feature 30 hectares of native revegetation as part of the golf course’s landscape, which is the equivalent to over 300,000 native trees, shrubs and grasses.

“ Here at Thomson Perrett we pride ourselves on designing sustainable golf courses, so at Mandalay, we have designed the course to harvest the storm water run off from adjoining residential precincts which will be used to irrigate the golf course,” Mr Trott said.
