Mandalay has new grounds for celebration

April 2010

The Shire of Mitchell’s exciting new golfing community, ‘Mandalay at Beveridge’, is set to host its inaugural family fun day on Saturday 1 May from 12pm, in celebration of the estate’s first completed children’s playground.

A host of family friendly activities will be on offer throughout the day with a face painter, mini-golf and a balloon artist, while a complimentary coffee cart and sausage sizzle provided by the local CFA will keep hungry tummies filled.

Special guest, five-time British Open golf champion, Peter Thompson, will help tee off the celebration, practising his swing on the first few completed holes of Mandalay’s 18-hole, ‘Thompson Perrett’ architecturally designed golf course.

The Australian golfing legend will be on hand to impart knowledge on the game as well as the fast developing Mandalay Golf Course design, which is earmarked for completion in 2011.

Mandalay welcomes both buyers and the wider public alike to the event, which will offer an ideal opportunity to meet and mingle and help form strong community ties.

Potential home hunters are also welcome to enjoy the day’s activities and speak with one of Mandalay’s friendly sales staff about the wide selection of house and land packages, conventional home-sites and the estate’s premium and golf-fronting home-sites.

With something for everyone at this premier new community, Mandalay at Beveridge has experienced an overwhelming sales response since its launch in 2009.

Buyers have been flocking to Mandalay’s highly coveted golf fronting home-sites, indicating high demand for communities that offer a master-planned, luxury lifestyle, at only a fraction of the cost of similar golf focused developments.

The children’s playground marks a milestone for Mandalay as the completed area is the first of many open parks and grassed reserves which are set to comprise approximately 40 percent of the estate’s master-plan.

Sales and Marketing Manager, Crystall Mousios, said the family fun day is the perfect opportunity for Melbourne’s northern home-hunters to view Mandalay’s progression since sales commenced approximately one year ago.

“ With the on-site display village underway and homes across stage one and two currently under construction, Mandalay is starting to rapidly take shape.

“ Coupled with the golf course’s rapid progression, our family fun day will provide visitors with a sense of what Mandalay will represent once complete,” she said.

Ms Mousios said the family fun day, the estate’s first since its launch, would also offer the estate’s future residents an opportunity to meet their neighbours and form close-knit community relations.

“ Mandalay has all but sold out of the first four land stages so the family fun day will offer the perfect forum for our future residents to begin settling into their new community, form friendships with their potential neighbours and really become a part of this special community.

“ We are thrilled to be able to see Mandalay transform into a vibrant hub of community activity and hope this will set the scene for many years to come.”

Mandalay’s family fun day will take place between 12pm – 3pm on Saturday 1 May in the sales office car park.
