Mandalay’s family fun day a hole in one

May 2010

Mitchell Shire’s fast emerging residential community, ‘Mandalay at Beveridge’, celebrated the completion of its first children’s playground with style on Saturday 1 May with a collective of future residents and curious home hunters gathering at the estate.

Locals, purchasers and visitors all enjoyed the estate’s first family fun day with activities including an animal farm and mini golf course, while a face painter and balloonist were kept busy entertaining throngs of children.

Special guest, five time British Open golf champion, Peter Thomson, joined in on the festivities while testing his handy work on the first few completed holes of his very own ‘Thomson Perrett’ designed, 18-hole golf course.

Local Mitchell Shire councillor, Kevin Mulroney, mingled with the crowd and enjoyed a sausage or two, while eager children took the first opportunity to explore the estate’s exciting new play equipment.

The local Beveridge CFA provided more than just a complimentary barbeque, drawing giggles galore from the crowd as they volunteered to wear balloon wings and painted faces for most of the day’s celebrations.

Coinciding with the opening weekend of the estate’s first two display homes, Mandalay’s family fun day provided the perfect opportunity for recent purchasers and interested buyers alike, to browse the displays and plan their perfect home.

Once complete, Mandalay’s display village will feature homes from expert national and local builders including Simonds, Burbank, Metricon Homes, 3D Homes, Colex Homes, Snowdon Homes, TBN Homes and Homes Now.

Mandalay’s sales and marketing manager, Crystall Mousios, said the inaugural family fun day provided the first opportunity for purchasers to meet their future neighbours and begin cementing community ties.

“ Many of our recent purchasers were thrilled to have the opportunity to meet their new neighbours, start forming friendships and swap stories about their new homes.

“ By the end of the fun day, everyone was chatting like they were old friends which was just fantastic to see,” she said.

Ms Mousios said there would be many more celebrations to come in the near future as Mandalay develops to schedule and construction continues to produce new milestones.

“ New homes are beginning to dot the landscape and we are excited to welcome our first residents in coming months.

“ Sales activity has continued to skyrocket over recent months, which suggests that Mandalay is the place to be in Melbourne’s north.

“ We couldn’t be happier with the buyer response to Mandalay so far and we look forward to watching it grow into a thriving community as residents begin to move in over the coming months,” Ms Mousios said.
