Mandalay welcomes newlyweds

April 2011

For recent newlyweds, Adrian and Ashleigh Glover, the decision to purchase at ‘Mandalay at Beveridge’, the northern growth corridor’s popular master-planned community, was made easy thanks to the long list of features, picturesque surrounds and their friendly soon-to-be neighbours.

Ms Glover, a local resident her whole life, said after purchasing their first home together in Roxburgh Park a few years ago, the couple decided to leave in search of greener pastures and more room to move.

“We looked at a few different estates in Wallan, Mernda and Craigieburn, but none had the same calibre of facilities or the focus on green space that Mandalay does.

“I’ve grown up in this region, and my grandmother used to take me to this very same spot when I was younger, so to see how the developer has enhanced the land and retained much of the original landscape is really encouraging.

“I knew that after taking my husband, Adrian to visit the estate, he would fall in love with it too, and luckily he did,” she said.

Ms Glover said although the couple is yet to move in, they have already experienced the strong sense of community at Mandalay and formed close friendships with their future neighbours.

“We can’t wait to move in later this year because we’ve already made some great friends.

“Adrian started a Facebook group for Mandalay purchasers and through that connection we have become so close to some of our new neighbours we even invited them to our wedding,” she said.

Set to welcome over 6,000 residents in the coming years, the estate’s master-plan has been carefully designed to include an array of on-site facilities and amenities allowing residents access to a wide range of features all within walking distance.

Mandalay’s extensive list of facilities will include a future commercial precinct, primary school and the exclusive ‘Club Mandalay’, as well as its centrepiece; the 18-hole, architecturally designed golf course that will meander throughout the 2050-lot community.

Ms Glover said the on-site golf course, which is already underway, provided the perfect backdrop for long walks around the community.

“We don’t actually play golf, but we love walking along the paths and just taking in the scenery, the golf course looks so lush and green, it’s a great view.

“Facilities are also important to us, we want to have kids someday soon, so knowing that a primary school will only be a few blocks away is so convenient,”

“Mandalay has just released stage 15B, featuring a range of quality allotments sized from 425sqm to 625sqm, and starting from just $176,000. Exclusive golf-fronting blocks are also available.

Hurry, first home purchasers at Mandalay are still eligible for up to $26,500 in government grants until 30 June.
